Our group, Concerned Catholic Ministers, did not meet in December, thus we are somewhat belated in this thanks and acknowledgement. We do, however, want to convey our sincere appreciation for your letter of December 5th to the presbyterate addressing the issue of homosexuality and the priesthood.

We found your letter to be pastorally sensitive and wise. We appreciate your leadership in this regard and the use of your teaching authority to bring clarity and compassion to this sensitive issue.
